Foxborough has a hotel problem on Gillette event nights
Gillette Stadium sits in Foxborough, not in Boston, and the towns around it have a limited number of hotel rooms. When 65,000 people arrive for a Patriots game, a Revolution match, a stadium concert or a tournament, those rooms sell out early and price accordingly. Groups get split across two or three properties, or pushed out to whatever is left within half an hour.
Staying in Boston solves it differently. You get one apartment, one booking, everyone together, at a nightly rate that does not spike simply because there is an event down the road.
Closer to Gillette than the downtown Boston hotels
This surprises people. Our Hyde Park apartments are roughly 30 minutes from the stadium, and our Dorchester apartments a little over half an hour, because both sit on the south side of the city with a clean run down Route 1 and I-95.
A hotel in downtown Boston or the Seaport is considerably further out and has to fight through city traffic before it even reaches the highway. If your day involves getting to Foxborough and back, starting south of downtown is a real advantage rather than a compromise.
Parking at the stadium, honestly
We are not going to pretend parking is the reason to book here, because Gillette handles it well. General parking in the lots across Route 1 is free for any valid ticket holder with no reservation needed. Stadium-side prepaid parking is $50 a vehicle and has to be bought in advance using the same email as your tickets. Lots open four hours before kickoff for Patriots games, and everything is cashless.
What does help is arriving in fewer cars. A group of eight staying in one apartment can travel in two vehicles rather than four, which matters far more on Route 1 than the parking rate does.
Built for the group trip
The bookings we see for stadium events are almost never couples. They are friends travelling in from several states, extended families meeting in the middle, or a team and its parents.
That is what these apartments are for. Three and four bedroom units with real beds for everyone, a full kitchen for the morning after, in-unit laundry, and free off-street parking. Nobody is sleeping on a hotel rollaway and nobody is eating a $22 hotel breakfast.

Daryl is a great host! So responsive and flexible as my family and I had to coordinate a multi-state gathering in Boston to go to the World Cup. He made sure we could access the apartment a few hours before checkout so we could drop our bags and head to the stadium on time. He was so gracious.— verified guest review
Common questions
- Do you have free parking for a Gillette event?
- Yes. Every apartment has its own free off-street parking, so you are not paying a garage on top of the stay and you are not circling for a space when you arrive.
- Is it a whole apartment or a room?
- The whole apartment, to yourself. Your own front door, your own kitchen, your own laundry - no shared hallways, no front desk, nobody else in the property.
- Do I pay a booking fee?
- No. Booking direct at sparekeysstay.com carries no booking fee, and the code BOOKDIRECT takes 20% off. That is the whole reason the direct site exists.
